Pay What You Are Able
100 USD / Year
50 USD / Year
25 USD / Year
Why did IAAGT start a ‘pay what you are able’ approach to membership dues?
As a community we want to nurture inclusiveness and recognize that some members have been adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, struggling financially. We take the opportunity to come together as a community to address the issue by implementing a trial adjustment to our membership fees through a ‘pay what you are able’ to honor the spirit and ethos of the IAAGT ‘Covenant of Community’ beyond the current crisis.
What are the expectations around the ‘pay what you are able’ approach?
As a community, we would like to encourage our members to truly pay what they are able. As we operate based only on membership fees, we invite our members to consider the following options:
- Pay the same amount as pre-Covid-19 (Full-Time Professional $100 USD, Part-Time Professional $50 USD, Full-Time Student/Retiree $25 USD).
- Pay less than the amount paid last year (as much as you are able). Our suggested minimum amount is $20 USD, but it can be as low as $1 USD.
- Pay more than you did last year, to lend support to others, reflecting the value you see in IAAGT to our community and to the field.
How long will the ‘pay what you are able’ approach continue?
This is an experiment that we are proposing as a way to be inclusive to all members and potential members. If it proves financially viable, we propose it to be the way we continue to view membership fees.
